I have been always a fan of bows and arrows. When I play games, my weapon of choices is a bow. My favorite character of Lord of the Ring is Legolas.
This is records of my journey to Asian archery.
I hope my blog can help people like me who are new to Asian archery, and help them to get good information from it.

A few shots of my equipment at Redwood bowmen club
Hi, very interesting is the position of the arrow with the gap over thumb ring. It’s similar to Japan Kyudo archery. Why you use this technique? Greetings LT
The reason of the gap is long draw style. Korean style draw is, drawing pass the ear. I believe Kyudo is very long draw too. When you draw this long, the gap between the ring and arrow nock gets very close. If you nock the arrow close to the thumb ring, and draw pass the ear, arrow will contact the ring, and it will disturb clean release, even cause arrow falling from the bow.
